Information for our residents from Knights of Pythias Retirement Center

Management at Knight’s of Pythias Retirement Center places the health, safety, and well-being of our residents and their families as our highest priority. Therefore, we have put the following procedures in place until the COVID-19 pandemic has subsided.

⦁ All activities and gatherings are cancelled until further notice. There are no exceptions. Please do not gather for social visits in our common areas. Remain in your apartments unless you are going out for essential business (groceries, doctor appointments or walking your dog).

⦁ No visitors are allowed into our community except for essential medical staff, caregivers, a family member/friend caring for the needs of a resident (bringing them groceries, etc.) and grocery/food deliveries.

⦁ All move-ins are postponed until further notice.

⦁ Rent collection will take place in the following manor: Lisa will be collecting at the front window only. No one may enter the front office. Approach the window one at a time. If someone is at the front window you must sit six feet away until you are called. If the lobby is too crowded for social distancing, you may be directed to go back to your apartment until a later time. Please call ahead for your rent amount so that you can make your check out in advance and lessen your time at the front office. You are welcome to have a caregiver or family member deliver your check. We are extending the rent period to April 6th. Rent will not be considered late if it is paid by April 6th during this month only.

⦁ Lori will be meeting with residents individually to sign recertifications. She will postpone all other HUD recertification interviews until the end of April. To schedule an appointment for a later date call Lori at the front office.

⦁ Our janitor is actively cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces of the building on a regular basis. Please do your part by coughing into your elbow and regularly washing your hands.

⦁ We prefer that you ride the elevator alone unless you are giving assistance to a resident with a disability. (Continued on back side)
⦁ We have locked the door at the top of the ramp off the dining room. The fitness room, upper living room, and art room are temporarily closed. The Mezzanine area is also closed.

⦁ Our resident association officers and floor representatives will be checking in with you on a regular basis. Please communicate any needs you may have to them. They will share them with management. We are keeping the lines of communication open between management and the resident board. Continue to communicate pressing needs or medical emergencies to the front office.

⦁ There are resources on the table by the front window to give you more information on COVID-19. Please use these resources to give you guidance during this time.

⦁ Our maintenance staff is still here to handle maintenance issues. Please call in a work order to the front office.

⦁ Housekeeping and laundry services will continue. If you develop any symptoms, please reschedule these services for a later date.

⦁ Please take advantage of Safeway’s senior hours (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7-9 AM) and use discretion when leaving the building. Most pharmacies will deliver prescriptions upon request. Call your local pharmacy. If you have a computer, you may wish to order groceries to be delivered. Fred Meyer is also offering free pick up if you order online. This would allow you to drive up and have your groceries loaded into your car. Remember that your choices will affect the lives and safety of others.

⦁ If you have need of nutritious meals, please contact Meals on Wheels at 866-788-6325 to set up regular delivery or call the front office to be put on the list for weekly food boxes from the Clark County Food Bank.

Knights of Pythias Retirement Center hopes that by taking these steps we will prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community and return to the quality of life that we all enjoy and appreciate.

Thank you in advance for doing your part for the greater good of others.
